Booking Terms & Conditions

Health Requirements

  • We require you to present a current vaccination certificate from your vet. No certificate, no entry!
  • All cats must be vaccinated against enteritis and cat flu. For cattery purposes, we require an annual booster. If your cat is due just prior to arrival, or during their stay, this must be done at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Kittens must have completed their initial vaccination course, of 2 or 3 shots several weeks apart, at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Routine flea and worm treatment should be done at least 48 hours prior to arrival. We recommend Nexgard, Bravecto, or Revolution.
  • All cats and kittens must be desexed.
  • Whilst we are happy to administer simple medications to compliant cats, we do not accept diabetic cats, “end of life” cats, or those with contagious diseases, e.g. ring worm, or showing signs of cat flu.

Medical & Veterinary Treatment

  • Emergency contact details (name and local number) are required. Coast Cattery will take reasonable steps to contact owners or emergency contacts prior to veterinary visits, except in urgent situations.
  • If veterinary treatment is deemed necessary, it will be sought at the owner’s expense. A small charge for time & transport will also be incurred.
  • Coast Cattery will try to use your usual local vet, but reserve the right to use a vet clinic of our choosing.
  • While Coast Cattery will take every care over your cat’s wellbeing, we take no liability for any loss, injury, loss of condition or death of your cat which occurs during or after their stay at Coast Cattery.
  • You must notify us of all medical issues and veterinary prescribed medications that your cat will need during their stay.

Food

  • Please inform us of your cat’s normal diet prior to or at arrival, which we will match to our current supplies of food.
  • Owners must supply their own food if their cat requires a veterinary prescribed diet or other special diet.
  • We reserve the right to offer your cat a different food to their normal if they are not eating well.

Arrivals & Departures

  • Please respect our opening hours (listed on our website) to avoid disruption to the cats’ feeding, napping, and playtime routines.
  • Cats must arrive in a suitable, secure cat carrier, and will not be let out until they are shown to their room. We can store your cat carrier until you return.
  • Owners may bring their cat’s favourite items, such as blankets, toys, etc. Collection of these items on departure is entirely the owner’s responsibility. We take no responsibility for any damaged or missing items.
  • If the owner is not the one collecting the cat, please give us the name of who will be, otherwise we will not release the cat until the owner is contacted. Please make sure they are aware of our opening hours.

Rates, Deposits & Cancellations

  • All bookings require a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit to be made within 3 days of booking.
  • Booking charges are per calendar day. You will be charged the full day rate for: all days stayed, the day of arrival, and the day of departure. The time of arrival or departure does not change the price.
  • Our rates are subject to change at any time.
  • We accept cash payments on departure, or online banking payments made within 3 days of departure.
  • A final invoice will be emailed to you, we do not have EFTPOS.

Peak Season

  • Peak season rules apply during:
    • Christmas: 20th December to 20th January, inclusive.
    • Easter: The Monday before Easter weekend to the Friday after, inclusive.
  • You pay for the number of the days booked, but you do not have to pay for the final day if you return earlier, once the minimum charge equivalent to a 10-day stay has been applied.
  • Rates during peak season differ from our normal rates – these are detailed on our rates page. There are no long-stay discounts.

Off-peak Season

  • Off-peak season applies for all other times of the year.
  • Flexible bookings: you only pay for the actual number of days stayed, once the minimum charge has been applied, equivalent to a 5-day stay.

Photos & Videos

  • Coast Cattery may use photos or videos of your cat, along with the cat’s name, on our social media (Instagram + Facebook), as well as our website.
  • These photos may also be used for marketing purposes.
  • If you do not wish us to do this, you must let us know in advance of your cat’s stay.

Contract

  • By booking with us you agree to the above terms and conditions, and you will be required to sign a contract to that effect at drop off.
